Milind Bunyan is a forest ecologist with research interests in invasive alien species, landscape ecology and the use of RS-GIS in studying natural ecosystems. Through his research, Milind promotes the use of open-source platforms and data, citizen science and applied research that addresses societal challenges. Milind works as the Coordinator of the Academy for Conservation Science and Sustainability Studies at ATREE Bangalore. Milind holds a PhD in Forest Resources and Conservation from the University of Florida (Gainesville, USA), an M.Sc. in Forestry from the Forest Research Institute (Dehradun, India) and a B.Sc. in Chemistry, Environmental Science and Botany from St. Joseph’s College of Arts and Science (Bangalore, India). On any given day, Milind would rather be listening to Ravi Zacharias or reading a Tintin.
