Clarita Mendes is currently undertaking her PhD studies in Neurobiology of Social Insects at the Johannes-Gutenberg University in Mainz. Her escape from the lab is to read and write obsessively. She is interested in making science approachable to people beyond academia, and hopes to one day present her own research and that of fellow scientists in a way that is engaging and just a little bit fun.
