Peter Kareiva

Dr. Peter Kareiva is President and CEO of the Aquarium of the Pacific and a research professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he was previously the director of the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability. Dr. Kareiva has taught at numerous schools like Brown University, University of Washington, University of California, Santa Barbara, Stanford University, Santa Clara University, University of Virginia, and Swedish Agricultural University. He has published over 200 scientific papers and authored/edited eight books in a wide range of fields including conservation and climate. He is the chief scientist for, and was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 2011.
