Manikandan is a development practitioner with about 18 years of experience in action research, NGO governance and programme management. He is an alumnus of Gandhigram Rural University. He is trained in the use of narrative analysis as a tool to explore beliefs and social institutions. He currently works as a Faculty in the School of Development at Azim Premji University (https://azimpremjiuniversity.edu.in/). He was previously associated with Kozmetsky Global Collaboratory (KGC-Stanford University), the Centre for Equity Studies (CES-New Delhi) and the Timbaktu Collective (TC-Anantapur). He has been intrigued by the multitude of elements that lead to societal inequities and is interested in exploring models that thrive to make the world an equitable one. He is in love with any form of children’s literature. He likes travelling, poetry and listening to people and their stories.

A Software Engineer who walked out to discover life beyond confinements; Karthik currently lives in a sustainable community closer to nature, working for a non-profit and single-parenting his two fabulous children.

Karthik enjoys taking lone walks in the wild, pausing once in a while to observe and allow himself to be astounded by nature’s diversity and its constantly changing character.. When not deeply engaged, Karthik enjoys falling asleep during the day while reading colourful children’s books and listening to bird and squirrel calls.

Peter Kareiva

Dr. Peter Kareiva is President and CEO of the Aquarium of the Pacific and a research professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he was previously the director of the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability. Dr. Kareiva has taught at numerous schools like Brown University, University of Washington, University of California, Santa Barbara, Stanford University, Santa Clara University, University of Virginia, and Swedish Agricultural University. He has published over 200 scientific papers and authored/edited eight books in a wide range of fields including conservation and climate. He is the chief scientist for relistwolves.org, and was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 2011.

Elishebah Tate-Pulliam


Elishebah Tate-Pulliam received both her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Biology from Cal State University, Long Beach.  She was a member of the inaugural “African-American Scholars” cohort awarded by the Aquarium of Pacific in 2021.  After defending her Master’s Thesis, Elishebah has been volunteering, and working as a Research Assistant at the aquarium. Tate-Pulliam’s goal is to educate students in urban areas about the importance of wetlands and environmental awareness.

Amalendu Kaushik is an animator, filmmaker and an Illustrator from Guwahati, Assam. He co-founded Studio Zeng, an animation and design studio and has been working in the field for commercial animation, socially impactful films and various other project based on the northeastern region of India.
