She has reported extensively on science policy and development in India and the Global South, contributing to publications like The Hindu, Nature, and Mongabay India, among others. A language enthusiast, she also explores ecology research through French translations at Current Conservation.

Marco Mangiacotti is a researcher at University of Pavia (IT). His research lines focus on
amphibians and reptiles’ conservation, ecology, ethology, and evolution.

Mishal Gudka is a Kenyan coral reef scientist working for CORDIO East Africa, a non profit research and conservation organization dedicated to marine and coastal ecosystems in the western Indian Ocean (WIO). He has led WIO data aggregation and analysis initiatives, including Red List assessments, and is currently pursuing a doctorate at the University of Melbourne. In addition to coral reef data analysis, he is involved in scientific coral reef monitoring and training, and marine conservation outreach.

Throughout his career, Sendi has collaborated with marine researchers and activists alike to raise awareness about ocean conservation in his country.

María Villalpando is a PhD candidate in the Energy and Resources Group at UC Berkeley. Her research focuses on terrestrial and marine food systems. She is a coral and ocean lover, and a conservationist at heart.

Fredrick Lala is the Head of the Arid, Semi-Arid and Savanna Research Center of the Wildlife Research & Training Institute of Kenya. He conducts conservation/management research on the effect of linear infrastructure on mammal populations, and is based in the Tsavo Conservation Area.

Joseph Bump is a Professor at FWCB and Director of Graduate Studies, Conservation Sciences program, University of Minnesota. His research program examines the conservation of mammals at the interface of population ecology, species interactions, and carrion ecology.
