Blake is an Environmental Social Scientist working for the Tampa Bay Estuary Program in the United States. His current work focuses on the human dimensions of conservation across Tampa Bay and creating pro-environmental behavior change that benefits nature and society. His past projects have spanned the fields of psychology, ecology, economics, and political science to address modern conservation challenges around the world and better understand how people make environmental decisions. As an artist-turned-scientist, he runs his own graphic design business where he works with researchers, universities, and NGOs to translate scientific results, processes, and reports into creative, engaging, and accessible content for the public. He holds a Ph.D. in Conservation Science from the University of Queensland (Australia), a M.S. in Biology from the University of Antwerp (Belgium), and a B.S. in Biology and Ecosystem Science and Policy from the University of Miami (USA).
